Auto Racing: neon fuel system, aeroquip hose, neon tank

Question
Hi, building a neon mini stock. It is a 95 with a 2.0 sohc and i have the cage done but trying to figure how to install a fuel cell. I was told i could take the stock pump out of the tank and fit it in a fuel cell but was told it needs a regulator also. Have built alot of street stocks but this is a first attempt at a fuel injection 4 cylinder. Any information would be helpful, with thanks.

Answer
I don't know WHY you'd want to use the stock pump, and it would be quite difficult to mount. Your stock Neon tank has mounting brackets built in to accept the pump, your fuel cell won't.  You'd be better off to use an after market fuel injection pump OUTSide the cell along with a regulator And don't forget a check valve to hold fuel pressure in the fuel rail when the motor isn't running , otherwise it will be a BEAR to start.  BE sure and use the high quality Aeroquip hose and fittings, safety is very important around fuel.
