Auto Racing: Metal work, central florida region, dirt late models

Question
Hey Dan,
I
My Name is Dave Siegert. I have been in racing for 25 years. I have built over 500 cars from dirt late models and modifieds to SCCA, to CWTS trucks, nationwide and Sprint Cup Cars. I quit Joe Gibbs last year and moved to West Palm Beach Florida. I have opened Fab-X Performance Fabrications in WPB. I have built a couple of cars since I moved here and have done alot of resto work. Can you help a guy like me out with referrals if someone is looking to get a car built, cage work, or any kind of metal work?

Thanks
Dave Siegert

Answer
Welcome to Florida !!
I'd suggest advertising in Circle Track, the one tech magazine in the world worth reading.
And for a few bucks you can advertise in our regional magazine, "The Checker" which serves our Central Florida Region (third largest in the USA) Florida Region which serves the South Florida area, has their own called "The Torque (of the town ??)" I don't know their rates, their  .

Circle Track:  John_Viscardo@primedia.com
Checker Mag.:  thechecker@osceolapress.com
Florida Region: contact: krysd@mindspring.com

Susan Young is a free-lance author/photographer who lives on the east coast (I think) and
would probalby write a short article for you to submit to local and regional publications.
Try her at <youngpv@earthlink.net> nice gal !

Krys Dean of Fl. Region will be able to provide you with event info so you can attend races at PBIR, and Homestead, and hand out a few cards.

As far as SCCA goes you can join both regions for about $10 more than a regular membership ($85) , and benefit from both our publications. They ARE regional magazines , so your audience is a bit limited. But then they are ALL race car folks too.

The Stock car people live in another world and I know two engine builders around here but that's about it.

Maybe I'll think of a few more leads/ideas  in the next day or two.  So in the meantime, send me your "real" e-mail for ease of contact. Mine is <DNLDDY@AOL.COM>.

Hope to hear from you !
