Auto Racing: I want to make my GMC envoy sound loud..., real race cars, gmc envoy

I got a 2004 GMC Envoy and its a I-6 and I was'nt thinking much about wanting somthing with pipes when I got it. Is their anything I can do to make it sound like a V8, I mean the thing has some horse power, but It just don't sound like a truck. Maybe by putting dual exuast on it or somthing around them lines? I live in a town where if your a guy and your truck doesn't have pipes, its probally a girls ride. Even though it's a SUV, it's got more horse power than most trucks...

If nothing else, if i ever had the money, could I drop a V8 in it?

Simple answer is you can't make it sound like a V-8 unless you put a V-8 in it.  Engine swaps take a lot of time, and usually are expensive.

I would suggest you skip trying to keep up with the other guys , save your money and when the time comes, but a ride that suits your ego.

Since I only work with real race cars, I can't offer much help.
