NASCAR Racing: Rank vs Winnings, chase contenders, minor details

How is Jr ranked 12th in the chase (as of 05/08/10) but he is 3rd in winnings among the chase contenders, 4th overall.

Hey DW,

There are so many different factors that go into configurations about "who wins how much." Sponsorship, Laps complete, finishing position, etc. Its hard to keep up with. There are a lot of minor details that I don't know about that stuff. Sorry I can't give you a better answer.
