NASCAR Racing: nascar used tires, crayon, pit stop

Question
What does the writing on used tires mean? Any way to tell what car it came from?

Answer
Yes, the car # is almost always written on the tire along with RF, RR, LF, or LR for right front, right rear...etc
Then sometimes they'll have another number for set 1, set 2, set 3...etc. for which pit stop they'll be used on. All this is usually written in yellow crayon, the imprinted numbers (usually a 4 digit #) are GoodYears way of assigning different types of rubber for different tracks and for which side of the car the tires are to be used on.
