BMW Repair: Starter Motor, bmw 318, starter motor

I am working on a 1996 BMW 318.  I am replacing the transmission and I need to get the starter motor off.  I'm sure i've taken all of the bolts out but the motor just won't budge.  Is there something else that needs to be done before the starter motor will release.

Rachel, if you are sure, sometimes the alignment pin on the starter motor will stick. If this is the case rethread the retaining bolts in halfway and tap them with a hammer to loosen the starter, try no to damage the bolts. Use a piece of wood or and extension if you have to.
