GMC Repair: Airbag Sensor Location?, new sensor, sensor location

Question
I read out the ODBII code B0077 as my Airbag System light has been on for over a year. I'd like to purchase a new sensor from my dealer and install it myself. My two questions are:
1. Where is the Driver Side SIS located?
2. If I replace it with a new sensor and that is the only problem will the warning light clear itself?

First question is the sensor is on the driver side rail or unibody. The only way to see this is look under bumper on rail or through the fender liners or under headlight so its some work to get to them sometimes but it is connected to the rail by 1 bolt usually a 10mm.
