GMC Repair: EGR valve, gmc jimmy, repair advice

I have a 1995 GMC Jimmy 4.3L and the EGR valve is sticking i knock on it and it fixed it so it dont need replaced just cleaning if i pull it out and clean it and run fule cleaner in my gas would that fix it for some time or would i be better off putin a new one on it?

first thing has it ever been changed/ yes you can clean it but I would save some money and replace it aftermarket your looking at maybe 125.00 and its 2 bolts real easy to replace. goodluck if you need anything further fo to collision repair advice.com Thanks
