GMC Repair: Guages, gmc yukon, gauge cluster

Question
I have a 2001 gmc Yukon 3/4 ton xl with a 6.0 gas motor. I can be going down the road and the gauges in the dash cut off and then back on, every gauge does it everything in the dash cluster goes out, and then right back on. I thought the plug may be coming out so I pulled the gauge cluster out and check the plug it was fine, I have stated tracing the grounds but that is very hard to do.  I don't know where the grounds are on the model I have.

Answer
Hi
Chanced are you have an internal cluster fault.
Replacement of cluster is ALL I know to do.Some others have posted on other fourms and websites about less expensive repairs..You MAY want to check that option. (A Bad solder in printed board)
If not You'll be looking at about 300-400 for a cluster AND it WILL HAVE to be programmed at a dealership now as they come with -0- miles.
I hope this helps.
Good luck
