GMC Repair: 01 Buick Regal LS, buick regal, transmission shop

Question
I have a 2001 Buick Regal LS, 3800 series engine. The transaxle is not shifting properly. when it i press on the gas, the rpm's will jump and the gear will not engage or the gear will engage but will not transfer the power properly. It will also sometimes "pulse" when trying to change gears. by that i mean reach the rpm that it changes then drop and jump back up. Thanks!

I would take the vehicle to a repair shop that offers free diagnostic scans. I would get the PCM (Computer) scanned for  codes.
After that, If there are any codes, have them checked out.
If not, I would have the fuel filter repalced. I would also recommend having the Catalytic Converter checked for not being plugged.
If all that checks out good,  I would take it to a GOOD reputable Transmission shop, and have it professionally diagnosed.
