GMC Repair: 1999 & 2000 Chevy trucks, chevy trucks, vacuum line

Question
Fuel pumps went out within a couple of weeks of each other. Replaced with aftermarket and fuel filters. Both now are hard to start. Cranking and seeming not to be getting gas. Eventually after cranking start and run fine. What needs to be checked? Ground, Relay, Pulsator?

Answer
Hi
I would double check pressure again while cranking.
If they are old body 5.7L pressure should be 60-66 psi NO LESS.
If they are Silverados with 4.8/5.3/6.0L "New Body" pressure should be 55-62 psi.
Check the pressure regulator (Silverados). Pull the vacuum line off. Look for ANY signs of gasoline. If so, they need repacement.
Any codes? have them scanned. Watch the RPM make sure they jump up and stay above 100-150rpm.
I Hope this helps.
Just advice from experience.
Good Luck
