GMC Repair: 88 Sierra wont fire, seems to be electrical, fuse block, pink wire

Question
My 88 2500 seems to have kicked off on me.  I got home, parked it, went to get back in it about 15 minutes later... and nothing.  I've got fuel to the throttle body, but nothing out of the injectors.  I also don't have spark and something else that I noticed tonight, the gauges don't light up when the key is turned on.  All the fuses are good.  I switched the ECM with another that I have and there was no change. I'm out of ideas, so any help would be greatly appreciated.

Answer
Hi
I studied the electrical schematic for your concerns.
I only see 2 things in common.
First I would say it is poossible they are unrelated.
Make sure, first that your getting fire OUT of the coil.
If so you may have a cap and/or rotor problem.
If not check the Pink wire going to the coil make sure it's hot. Make sure the white wire going to Ignition module in Distributor is getting power.
If so You may want to take a good look at the Ignition Module.
The Lights I am taking for granted the Instrument Cluster is not lighting up? Or are the "Dummy Lights" not lighting up?
If it is the IPC lights, Check the fusible links located Under hood, to the Right side close the the A/C Dryer. A Battery cable should go in over there also. Check all grounds, making sure they are clean and tight.
Only other thing I see in common would be the Ignition Electrical switch (Located on the top side of Column) it feeds power to coil and to IPCluster via the fuse block.
If I can help in ANY other way or if you need more help, please feel free to follow up.
Just suggestions from experience.
Good Luck
