GMC Repair: GMC van doors, e mail address, gmc safari

OK, my (1988 GMC Safari 2 wheel drive) door(driver's side) will NOT shut. I KNOW it's the latch (the inner latch that hooks over the steel to lock and open ETC), but I have no idea how to fix it (I have tried to fix it, but I think I need some tools), and my husband is not willing to help me right now. Can you give me any pointers? Thanks

P.S. I SERIOUSLY doubt that this has anything to do woth it, but the motor for my winsheild is going out. I also forgot to mention that the lock sticks on that door as well.

as far as the door latches, You did NOT provide enough detailed information.

I also forgot to mention that the lock sticks on that door as well. THE LOCK STICKING MAY BE THE CAUSE OF YOUR PROBLEM.


Without actually seeing your problem any suggestions would only be a guess and there are numerous possibilities.
