Answer
What your going to have to do is have a FUEL PUMP TESTER installed within the fuel line so as when you go to this starting problem you can see how much fuel pressure you have. When you you energize the fuel pump by cycling the ignition 2 or 3 times prior to starting the vehicle, If you have a weak pump or a leaking internally one or more fuel injectors and or fuel PRESSURE REGULATOR one of these is most likely your problem, But you will need the fuel pressure tester to see what pressure you have.

I am a great one to ask this question, As I have a 1991 ford crown Victoria that does the same thing for the last 6 months and i have to do the exact same thing you have to do. My problem is that I never get time to fix my own vehicles unless they are completly DEAD on the road.

Between myself, My wife and our son we have:

1991 Ford Crown vic.

1989 chevy S-10 balzer

1987 chevy S-10 blazer

1994 Ford F-350 dually extended cab full 4 door Pickup truck

2004 Chevy Blazer (We just bought it last week for wifes birthday.

So we have FIVE vehicles and only THREE drivers.

Let me know.
