Audio Systems: V630 yamaha receiver, home theater receivers, sony hd

Question
I want an ipod dock that can connect through my rec'v/speakers I have a sony HD Bravia TV and I want to see the menu on my TV for the ipod but hear the music through my speakers everything runs through my yamaha receiver but it is an older model.  Will the YDS 10 or 11 yamaha dock work with it? if so how can I set it up to hear the music through the speakers set up through my receiver but see the menu on my TV?  Any help would be greatly appreciated:)

Answer
It's custom designed to work with Yamaha's HTR-5960, HTR-5950, RX-V659, and RX-V559 home theater receivers. The YDS-11SL is compatible with 4th and 5th generation iPods (with click wheels), the iPod mini, and the iPod nano. The YDS 10 is an older model and is also made for those receivers as well as current iPods.

If you want to be sure then you should write their tech support at https://www.yamaha.com/yec/customer/emailrequest.html?CTID=5010270

Good luck. I would be curious to know what they say. It would be good to know what it's capabilities are with older model receivers.
