Audio Systems: Audio reccomendations, bells and whistles, home theater receiver

Hi, I have a 1200 sf shop in which I recently hung 4 CerwinVega! AT12 speakers in the corners. I wasn't looking to do much at first but found these 4 CV's for around $90 total, and would like to make the most of them. All I have right now to power them is a Kenwood VT 37 which I think is really a home theater receiver. I would like to find a reciever/tuner w/ or w/o an amp with no bells and whistles just good sound and power, I hate to admit this but I know very little about hi fi and always have purchased off the shelf low end brand names like Yamaha, Kenwood, Pioneer. Im sure I could fing something on  Ebay if I knew what to look for, Help!!, Thanks.

A lot of what you request is pesonal preference.  There are too many factors involved.  For example, what type of music?  Is this a club of some sort that will require high volume levels?  Should you be looking at a PA type system rather than a consumer HiFi system.  What kind of money do you want to spend?

I have built club type setups using $3500.00 cabinets and some using $50.00 cabinets.  You should talk with a local sound company requesting a quote for installation of a complete system.  Use that to determine where you want to go.
