Audio Systems: 1999 Mercedes ML 320 CD Changer Error, ml 320, startup sequence

Hi I have a 99 ML320 and the CD changer is reading "Err Code 1", I have no idea what that is. Can you help? Thanks!

This error code usually means a mechanical error.  The mechanism goes through a startup sequence to end up in a known condition.  If that sequence fails for any reason, the error will show up.  Most of the time, this is caused by a misfeed of a disc.  The unit will need to be dis-assembled, the discs removed then re-assembled.
