Audio Systems: car soundsystem, 4 ohms, gauge wire

Question
I am going to purchase a Pyramid Dual 10" Bandpass Enclosure with Neon Blue Lighting (1000 Watts), and I was wondering what kind of amp and wiring i would need to get me going.  Please be as specific as you can because i know absolutely nothing about car audio.

Answer
If you want me to be specific, you must be specific with me so I know what you are doing.

I must know the year, make and model of the car, make and model numbers of all the equipment you will be hanging on the 12v system of the car.

Be prepared to run special wiring from the battery system to the amp and the lighting.  You will need runs of 2 or 4 gauge wire and fuses to protect the system.  You may need to upgrade the alternator and the battery in the car.

Why did you obtain the dual enclosure?  Does the enclosure have the dual drivers which are 4 ohms impedance?  Rated at 400 watts?  If so, you will need a stereo amp with a 1kw rating or thereabouts.  More 3 gauge wire from the battery system.  The turn on wiring must connect to the ignition or the headunit - which must have the right interface connections to the amp you are going to drive it with......

Maybe this will get you started.
