Audio Systems: Mitsubishi CS-31301, electrolytic capacitor, electrolytic caps

Question
tv is running through rca. game console is running through s-video. and there arent ripple lines, but at the top the image appears to be rolling over itself to the right, same as in the middle of the screen, and at the bottom of the screen, the image is just pushed all the over to the right, almost as if the h-hold was way off (but i dont have adjustable v or h holds, so its not that.
its rather hard to describe the symptoms, but what i put above is to the best i can explain it.

-----Question-----
hi,
i have a mitsubishi cs-31301 tv and im having a problem with the picture rippling. apparently after the tv has been on for awhile the problem goes away (as it is not doing it now). this happens on both tv and my xbox. im just wondering if this is a picture tube problem or something else.
-----Answer-----
are the ripple lines going from top to bottom, right to left or diagonal? it makes a difference in my answer, also does tv do it on all/some channels, and (whew, lol) try to describe your hookup. it could be just your game rf modulator, depending on your hookup configuration. sorry i couldn't answer you outright, but i need some more info from you first..

Answer
it sounds more like an electrolytic capacitor in the video processing stages of the tv now. if your set has the picture in picture circuit board installed, all the electrolytic caps on it need to be replaced. if not, then there are a few capacitors near the video 'jungle' chip that need to be replaced. since it's a nice model, i would suggest letting a shop take care of it, shouldn't run more than $100-$175 to fix it.
