Audio Systems: nissan maxima radio-telephone mode, 2003 nissan maxima, maxima radio

Question
I have a 2003 nissan maxima that says telephone across the display, the radio has power and if you change the volume you will see that on the display but it goes right back to saying telephone, you cant hear any noise out of the radio and it wont do anything else but raise the volume, i cant find a telephone button on the radio and i called a dealership and nissan direct and they had no answer for me, can you help me out on a possible way to get this radio out of telephone mode

there is a telephone circuit inside the radio and a cable  on the harnness that when there is ground it mutes the radio and shows that on the display until you end the phone conversation and goes back to normal
i don't think your harness got cut and there is ground touching that wire i believe the radio malfunction and it is going to need service

before you do that
remove the negative terminal from the battery for about 30 minutes and try the radio by turn it on and pressing the am/fm button
