Audio Systems: JVC KD-SX750 problem, clocl, dodge ram

I have a JVC KD-SX750 cd player in a 1997 dodge ram.  I can put a cd in and eject it.  The  clocl will come on when you puch the disp button, but that is it? I just bought the truck and problem exhisted when purchased.  Do you think that this fixable problem or should I just replace?

if you put in a cd, do you see the track listing and the seconds going as if it's playing the cd?  and you can skip to other tracks, etc?  Or not?  If not I'd replace it but if you can see it doing all this but there's just no sound then there may be another problem.
