Audio Systems: new speakers with factory infinity system, infinity factory, infinity gold

Hi,
A 98b Dodge Dakota with a 6 spkr factory system.
Both door woofers blew out.
I purchased a set of Infinity "research'woofers and tweeters to replace them.
I don't seem to get any base out of the woofer, it does not seen to matter whether I wire the new woofer to stock wires or add in the new crossover provided with the new speakers.
Is there an impedance problem?
The new speakers are 4 Ohm, I have not been able to find any specs on the factory system.

Any ideas?

bingo that is your problem
the infinity factory woofers are 1.5 to 2.0 ohms   
and the audio comming from the amplifier is a low freque
you can not add tweters to this cables only the original factory woofers
you can get them from any chrysler vehicle  town and country or caravan with the infinity gold 10 or gold 8
