Audio Systems: head unit installation for a chevy, chevy tahoe, crutchfiled

Question
Will a Boss Audio BV9200 head unit fit my 2000 chevy tahoe, i have the older bodystyle since 2 different body styles came out that year.  It has a 2 din installation...I dont know what that means but will it work with my dash, im looking to take out my factory deck and replace it with a touch screen deck that will also play dvds...can this even be done

Answer
well a couple of things here.  first of all 2 din usually is synonomous with double din which means its a cutout hole that's twice as high as a standard head unit.  usually this was to have tape and cd which tape is kinda dead these days.  Second thing is that boss audio is probably just about the cheapest (worst) company around 2nd to pyramid.  Not knocking it or putting your choice down but there's a simple fact that the first thing to always fail is something with moving parts like a cd player that has to spin the disk and get it in and out of the unit so although sometimes I recomend boss audio for amplifiers and things like that I definatly do not recomend them for a cd player and especially not for a dvd player.

My sugestion for you would be to go to:
http://www.crutchfield.com
use the "find what fits my car" and fill that out.  you will be presented with a list of units that are garunteed to fit in your vehicle.  I also recomend getting the unit from crutchfiled since they will give you EVERYTHING that you need to do the job free, even tools if nessesary! and step by step photos on what to do.  I highly recomend them, even though you could get a unit on ebay cheaper, again the cd player is almost always the first thing to go, so get it from somewhere that will back you up!
Good luck and let me know how it goes!
