Audio Systems: replacing infinity system, infinity system, speekers

I want to replace my infinity am/fm/cd radio in my 1994 Jeep. I was told that i would also have to replace the speekers. Is this true and why?

I would suggest going to www.cutchfield.com and speak to one of their online reps.
You can tell them the specifics as to which model it is and they can help you very quickly with all facets of interfacing to that existing system.
If it has steering controls for the radio, they can hook you up with what you'll need to retain that feature when using an aftermarket headunit.
I would also suggest replacing the speakers since they are 12 years old.
