Audio Systems: Speakers Giving out when music is up, cd mp3 player, anwser

thank you this you are the third person i have asked and all came back with diffrent anwsers, the other two people said it sounds like speakers are bad (because they are factory and old) and the other anwser i got was it sounds like a loose connection is there any way to know for sure? thank you

I have a 1991 ford escort and have just had a new cd/mp3 player installed in it, the problem is when im listening to music anywhere past vol. lvl 15 the music will eventually stop and the speakers in the back keep working but the ones in the front dont its as if the speakers actually blow but then a few hours later they are fine again

sounds like you got a bad stereo. i'd remove it and send it back for another one, that one's defective..

did it act like that with the old stereo? only way to confirm wiring is to open doors, dash, etc. so you can physically check wiring with continuity meter, large headache, but if it all worked with old stereo, i wouldn't suspect wiring. really sounds like stereo is overheating for some reason and shutting down partially. i still suspect defective stereo.
