Audio Systems: Honda 6 Disc in-dash CD Changer Error Code ERR, honda oem, single cd player

Hello, I have recently purchased a new 6 disc in-dash cd changer (Honda OEM#08a06-3b3-300) and added it to my 01 Civic factory am/fm cd player.  I followed the Honda instructions as recieved to the letter.  When I Replaced the neg battery terminal and fired the cd player up I got an error code ERR.  Note the am/fm cd player still plays cd's but the 6 disc changer just flashes and then a red light comes up on the 1st button,  I can hear a noise like is is trying to load or eject which last for a few seconds when it starts up, then nothing.

that means the cd changer is stuck or damage inside
they always give that problem when they are ship    they are very fragile
sorry unit is bad send it back to be exchange  
did you know that now there is a single cd player for civics that hold one disc but they play mp3 files ?
200 songs in one single cd
