Audio Systems: 98 Dodge Intrepid Stereo - No Volumn, power amp, dodge intrepid

Question
My dealer is having difficult identifying my problem.  2 weeks ago my battery died and ever since the stereo doesn't have any volumn.  I replaced the fuses, including the one to the power amp.  I also had another factory stereo from a previous casette to CD change out, same result, no volumn from the older unit.  After the technician talked with the factory there sill seems to be difficulties.  Any ideas?

Thanks

Answer
Rob,
You may want to use a 12 volt test lamp to see if the external amp has power to it. The amp should have one 12 hot at all times and a 12 volt switched lead when the stereo is turned on. It's possible that the fuse for the 12 volt main supply to the amp is blown.
