Audio Systems: 2005 dodge ram 1500, dodge ram 1500, infinity system

i am installing an aftermarket radio into a 2005 dodge ram with an infinity system. i do have the remote wire tied in. the system does not have any sound, i unplug the aftermarket, plug up the factory and still no sound. with the factory radio still plugged up, i turn the key on and wow i have sound. with the system on i unplug the factory and plug up the aftermarket, i have sound with the aftermarket. i turn the aftermarket off/on w/the power button,i still have sound. now with the aftermarket still plugged up, i  turn the ignition key off and back on now i have no sound. any  answers, thanks for your help

The infinity system uses an external amp, the problem may be with the remote wire and /or power control relay for the amp. You may want to stop by your local Dodge dealer and ask the service dept for a print out of the wiring for the stereo connector.
