Audi Repair: Audi 90 AC, audi 90, guessing game

Hello,

I'm looking to buy a 1995 Audi 90 from a friend, however while inspecting
the car, I found that the AC has stopped working and he himself confirmed
this.

This is a lovely car and I'd love to get it, my budget is $2500 as I'm looking
for my first ever car. My friend is selling it for $1800. So would it be cheap to
fix it if it can even get fixed?

I would take the car to a repair shop and establish what the problem is with the AC.  If it just needs a charge, it will cost around $350.  If it needs a compressor or other expensive parts, the repair could be much more.  Without more details anything is a guessing game.  Good luck,  Jan
