my hood release cable is broke any idea how to pop hood so it can be replaced

Answer
It depends on the model.  You should be able to get to the catch with a long screwdriver through the front grill, but you need to know what to look for.  You may have to use a clothes hanger with a loop on the end, instead of a straight screwdriver.  If it is a coupe or cabrio, there are two hood locks, and they can be reached from the grille area.  It also depends on the type of grille you have, in some cases it is easier to do this from underneath the car...  Let me know how you get on,  Jan
