Audi Repair: Repair of mass airflow sensor and valve cover gasket, valve cover gasket, mass airflow sensor

Hi Jan,
can you advise on how much it should cost to repair the mass airflow sensor and a leak on the valve cover gasket? I have a 2003 Audi A4 (1.8)and it has ~51,000 miles.

I am getting quoted a price of $310 for the mass airflow sensor and $320 for the valve cover gasket (so a total of $630). Is this too much?

Would appreciate your help!

Sounds like top dealer pricing.  Valve cover gasket kit should be around $75, takes about 1-2 hrs to put in.  MAF itself is more expensive (around $200) , but much easier to fit 1/2 hr or so.  I would get a second quote...  Let me know how the second quote works out,  Jan
