Audi Repair: Audi A4 1.8T Quattro, 8t, vag

I have a 2001 A4 .8T Quattro and the speedometer sticks on occasion (example, i can being doing 55mph in 3rd gear and come to a stop light and the car will be stopped but the odometer will stay at 30mph) I can turn the car off then turn it back on and it will reset itself. i first noticed when the car said i was going 125mph in 2nd gear thats when i realized something was not right!!! Thanks for any help you can give me!!!!

This can be check with VAG or VAS. Do the output test for cluster, if the guage sticks or is not the same as the others - you have bad gauge.
This is the only way I know and I use. In 99% , I think you will need new cluster.
