Audi Repair: Sticking latch, audi a4, latch

First of all, thanks for providning this service.  Very nice.  I just bought a 1996 Audi A4.  The rear driverside door began having trouble latching and now swings open freely when goning aroun corners.  I took the door panel off, the only thing i found out if the inner handle cable may be sticking... any way to fix that easily, also is there any thing else that could be causing this?  Thank you

Sorry it took so long, I was away.
I have never seen bad cable, most  of the time is the latch itself. You can disconnect cable from the latch and see if that's fix it. Disconnect cable will tell you if it's causing any problem. If this does not fix it I will just replace latch.
