Cadillac Repair: 1997 sts cadillac, cast iron block, radiator cap

my car is overheating and i replaced the thermostat, waterpump, and radiator cap. it still overheats when i drive down the road not when idiling. theres water coming out my overflow and theres no water in my oil. please help me

these cars are not like an old Chevy you could run hot. Running this engine above normal temperature will destroy it! You apparantly have been doing a lot of guess work trying to fix the problem, but all that does is cost you additional money. I am not going to guess because there are too many different things that can cause this condition. You need to have it towed to a reputable service center in your area. You can only pray that you have not cost yourself $4k for a new engine.

Cadillacs are notorious for overheating and the reasons are many. You say there is no water in the oil, but that just means that the headgasket did not blow interjecting coolant into the crankcase, it does not mean you don't have a blown headgasket or a cracked head.

Maybe the cooling fan is not working. You need this checked out now!!!!!!!

You do not have a cast iron block or heads. It's all alluminum and does not hold up to heat.
