Cadillac Repair: on board diagnostic codes????, jumper pins, diagnostic connector

I Have a 1991 Brougham D Elegance with the 5.7L engine.I believe the engine code is 7.I learned how to get the codes to display on the climate control console but can't seem to find what they mean.Everyone online seems to get codes with a letter in front of them eg. E,EE,F,FF,P etc.My vehicle just has 2 to 3 digit numbers only and to get to the numbers you have to go in to individual banks labeled from -00 up to -31.Any help as to what they mean or where to find the info would be greatly appreciated.

You CANNOT get the codes via the climate control panel on YOUR vehicle.

You have to jumper pins "A" and "B" together using a paper clip at the black diagnostic connector under the dash and you have to COUNT the light flashes of the SERVICE ENGINE light.
