can you tell me where to locate the blower motor resistor for this car. the blower will not shut off and i have narrowed it down to this but cannot locate.

The old very very common problem going back to the eighties that Cadillac and only Cadillac had was that the heater blower module would internally fry. Located commonly under the hood on the passenger side these printed circuit modules could only be replaced and not repaired to the tune of $300-$400 bucks!

What I commonly would see even on 82' Eldorados would be one or two seperate toggles installed under the dash (the second being an inline resistor for a lower blower speed)to operate the blower to keep the battery from going dead. Yes, this sounds slip-shod, but it is the best way of repair other than going to Cadillac, getting ripped for having a new part installed that is doomed to fail again.
