Cadillac Repair: stater, dodge grand caravan, grand caravan

Question
1995 sedan deville, will i be able to do this in my garage at my house. The exsauhst and intake manifolds, will I have to loosen  or remove either one of them? This vehicle might be a 1997 also. The owner is not sure and I have not yet seen the car. Any help would be great. I replaced the stater on my 1998 Dodge Grand Caravan and had no problems. Could this prove to be more difficult?

Answer
Hi Greg,

"R" is 1995 and "T" is 1997 on VIN eighth number from end of public VIN reading from right (last) to left.
Please remember though, I am putting the year numbers from this old memory. 1990 was a "L" and "O" was not used because of confusion of a 0.

You would find the same story on your Caravan.

If you are doing a starter depending on corrosion, it's pretty simple on the Deville kind of like your Caravan. You shouldn't have to play around with intake at all and you should not have to do anything with exhaust.

Good luck!!!
