Cadillac Repair: 1992 Seville Glovebox Removal, eyefull, glovebox

Question
3 Issues here; A heater problem where heat is coming out only from the right side of the top defrost area, (weakly, at that) and quite cool from the left side, and bottom vents. At the very least the dampers or what ever they may may be called that controls and directs the airflow, are likely not moving or moving very well. Reading in this forum, It's some control arms located behind the glovebox that should be looked into,as a start. Issue 2: How precisely do you get the glovebox liner out? The screws on front seem obvious, but there is also the trunk and gas buttons which are wired that don't seem to have any slack to pull out with the liner, if I got that far. Then #3:The latch on the glovebox is also broken at this time. (unrelated to the need to get behind it, it just broke, really !!) The dealership parts guy says they don't make that part anymore, but I'm sure it hasn't changed,or that a like-kind working replacement isn't available. (The staff is generally disinterested and blase' (spell?) about anything they can't screw the hell out of you with) Anyway that's an earful/eyefull for you, please let me have your thoughts. Thanking you in advance, John

Answer
If you are mechanicaly inclined or know of someone who is, You will need a DIGITAL MULTIMETER, Simple electrical schematics, Test procedures and picture locations of the components within the system that is causing you problems of which can't be done on this website which only allows one picture. I do not have a website so you will have to e-mail: onlineautohelp@msn.com in order to obtain the information.
