Cadillac Repair: feel shaking in sterring wheel, rubber boots, adice

Question
I have a 95 Eldorado ETC. The car has over 107,000 miles on it it rus like a dream. But recently im feeling some shaking in the steerng wheel. My mechanic check the tire pressure and added some to 32 lbs. That didnt solve the problem. Next he put it on the lift and took the wheels off. He changed the front caliphers and he said that was the problem. Needless to say maybe it needed the front caliphers but there stillis that shaking vibration in the wheel and you can feel it when you drive at low speed. He did balance the tires so now im stuped to what is wrong with the front end on this car. He says he cand find anything wrong with it. Im afraid one day the tires may come off or I will get stuck with the car . Do you have any suggestions to what could be causing this problem? I depend on this car but im not comfortable driving it to far. Any adice would be greatly appreciated.  Thanks for your time.

Answer
Have someone look to see if the rubber CV-Joint covers are split. These are black accordian style rubber boots that are located on each front axle. One right behind the tire and the other where the axle goes into the transmission. If they are split you will see grease all over near the backside of the front tires.

This would in most cases cause a CV-Joint failure which can cause a serious vibration.
