Cadillac Repair: 1997 cadillac diville blinkers, dashboard lights, hazard flasher

when i first got my car the blinkers didn't really work but sometimes if i messed with the bar thing you move to activate the turn signals and jiggled it around it would work, but now they don't work at all and i know its not just the light because the dashboard lights for the blinkers don't turn on either, i think it might be the mechanism that on the side of the steering wheel or something, what do you suggest i do?

The FIRST thing I would do is replace the TURN SIGNAL FLASHER located up under the dash next to the steering column. Do NOT confuse the turn signal flasher with the HAZARD flasher. If you would like to obtain pictures of where the flasher is and what it looks like, E-mail: onlineautohelp@msn.com
