Cadillac Repair: Unable to start Cadillac, spark plug wires, cadillac seville

Question
QUESTION: I have a 1988 Cadillac Seville with a 4.5L V-8 engine.  The engine has had some fits of dying for no reason.  Recently  the engine overheated and was running hot for about 30 mins before we noticed and shut it were able to cool it enough to shut the car off without heat seizing the engine.  A day later I started the engine and started to back out when the engine died I have since been unable to restart the engine.  I have replaced the coil, distributor cap and rotor, but to no avail.  I am hoping that you may be able to provide me with some insight, as to what this problem could be since i am at a total loss to explain what could be this problem since this is the only form of transportation I have right now and am on a limited income so I can not afford to take this into a mechanic and have it looked at I have also checked all the spark plug wires and made sure that they are in good shape and connected to the distributor in the correct order.  Thank you in advance for any help you are able to provide.

QUESTION: Yes I can see gas being sprayed down from the injectors and as far as a can tell its getting spark just not starting checked fuses for computer both inside car and inside engine compartment all good same with fuel pump fuses

Answer
NOT, as far as a can tell its getting spark.

Remove one of the spark plug wires from the spark plug and hold the wire close to a metal object and as someone tries to start the engine you should be physically able to see a spark jump from the wire to the metal object.
