Cadillac Repair: 1990 cadillac stalling, throttle positioning sensor, cadillac deville

Hi Tom, I have a 1990 Cadillac deVille with 73,000. Within the last couple of weeks the weather has been very hot and that when the problem started. The Cadillac has been stalling out. It has happen a couple of times. I did a test on the car where you push off then warmer and the codes were E E55 EE. Could you please help me with this problem.

E55 = INTERMITTENT THROTTLE POSITIONING SENSOR (TPS).

Try cleaning the inside of the throttle body and both sides of the throttle plate to remove the black residue with an appropriate spray cleaner.

Then CLEAR the code and see if it returns as either E55 or EE55
