Cadillac Repair: 99 STS will not crank, neutral safety switch, circuit breakers

Question
Tom:

A couple of weeks ago the car would not start in Park (Dead- no click or crank), it would however start if I shifted into neutral. Then the car would not start at all.
I have replaced the battery and the starter on this car, it still only "clicks" (as if it was a dead battery). I have checked the fuses and circuit breakers all appear to be good. After reading your other articles I believe it maybe the neutral safety switch but I have no idea how to find it or repair it.  Got any suggestions?

Answer
The neutral starter safety switch is located under the brake booster on top of the transmission. If you have someone shift the gaer lever for you, You will see the shifter linkage moving into an electrical box. This is you neutral starter safety switch.
