Cadillac Repair: Engine & Tranny Swop, solenoids, tranny

Question
Hello,
I swopped my 93 STS 4.6L motor and tranny out for a 94 4.6L motor & tranny with less mileage. I noticed my tranny has two square plugs coming out of it(one plug has 8 wires & the other 6 wires), the 94 tranny I put in already has one circle plug with 14 wires. How do I re-wire this. do I match up same color wiring? Please advise.
Cheers-George

Answer
The internal wiring of each transmission is TOTALLY different and cannot be due to the different kind of electronic solenoids within the transmission.

NOTE: You are going to have to use your 93 tranny.

NOTE: Call your local parts house and make sure that the computers are interchangeable between the 2 different year vehicles.

Therefore you will have a 1993 car with a 94 engine and a 93 transmission ??????.
