Cadillac Repair: Cadillac unexpectedly quits on freeway, cadillac fleetwood, front wheel drive

1986 Cadillac Fleetwood D'Elegance, V8, front wheel drive

Occasionally on the freeway my car will unexpectedly quit. It has
only done this when the AC is on. The car will shut off-- the brakes
and wheel lock. It usually takes a good 10 minutes before I'm able
to get the car to start up again. If i try to start the car too soon and
turn the key, not even the starter sounds.

What could possibly be the problem? I'm stumped, had a tune up
recently and they didn't seem to find anything. Thanks for the help!

Check your computer for Fault CODES:

1. Ignition ON. Engine OFF.

2. Simultaneously push and hold the OFF and WARMER buttons until the whole display illuminates and release the buttons.

3. CODES will start to appear and will stop displaying.

4. Write down these codes and tell me what they are.

Turn OFF ignition.
