Cadillac Repair: Overheating, head gasket failure, cadillac eldorado

Question
Why is my 1997 cadillac eldorado is overheating? It has a V8 engine and I have already replaced the water pump and the strain. Currently is no thermostat, but to my knowledge it shouldn't matter.  Could it be the head gasit and if not what?

thanks for the help

Answer
Are the cooling fans operating ?.

Engine normally runs at 220-240 degrees.

Could be a restricted radiator. Just because you can see coolant flow at the radiator cap opening does not mean that is it flowing thru the middle and lower tubes of the radiator.

Test for head gasket failure.
