Cadillac Repair: cadillac air conditioner resert code, climate control, computor

i need the reset code for cadillac 1990cadillac saville v-8  5.4 thank you  minnie b long   i did some rapairs and now the air conditioner dont work.

Hi Minnie, That is a safty feature with the Cadillac in that the body computor turns off the a/c compressor when it sences that the freon level is too low and helps prevent damage to the compressor. What you need to do is with the engine running in park push off and red/warmer button on the climate control panel for 5 seconds or until it goes into diagnostics. It will then start displaying codes and you want to pay attention ot the B codes. When it shows ECM? push low fan for no. At BCM? push hi fan for yes. Continue to push low fan until it displays clear codes?  and then push hi fan and then codes cleared should display and then the a/c should be allowed to work provided that there is at least 1 lb of freon in the system. To exit diagnostics turn the engine off and the next time the engine is started or key turned on the displays will return to normal and the a/c compressor should engage. Hope that makes sence. Bill
