Chevrolet Repair: 2000 chevy s10 wont start, chevy s10, spark plug wire


Question
engine turns over but it wont start. i have replaced both the ignition coil and ignition control module.  also checked fuel pressure. plug wires and distributor rotor/cap are fairly new...no idea where to look next

HI BILL,HOW DID YOU CK THE FUEL PRESSURE ??? WITH A GAUGE I HOPE ??? 35 LBS ??? IF YOU DID NOT CK WITH A GAUGE, I WANT YOU TO REMOVE THE TEST PORT CAP ON THE MAIN FUEL LINE BY THE TBI,PUSH DOWN ON THE SHRADER VALVE WHILE SOMEONE CRANKS THIS ENG OVER. THERE SHOULD BE FUEL SPRAYING OUT THE ENTIRE TIME THE ENG IS CRANKING, NOT JUST AT FIRST CRANK OVER.[ [THE ENTIRE TIME IT IS CRANKING] LIKE I WOULD SAY TEST IT FOR 3 TO 4 SECONDS. IF THERE IS ONLY FUEL FOR A SECOND THIS IS CALLED RESIDUAL PRESSURE.THIS IS NO GOOD. IF YOU DO NOT WANT TO DO  THIS GRAB YOURSELF A CAN OF STARTING FLUID AND REMOVE THE AIR CLEANER ASSEMBLY AND SPRAY SOME DOWN THE INTAKE. IF IT STARTS LIKE THIS,YOU HAVE A FUEL PROBLEM. [IS THERE A AFTERMARKET ALARM IN THIS TRUCK ???] IF THERE IS FUEL LIKE I WANT IT TO BE THEN I WANT YOU TO CK FOR IGNITION SPARK AT THE SPARK PLUG WIRE END.. REMOVE ANYONE PLUG WIRE AND TAKE A SCREW DRIVER AND PUT IT IN THE WIRE TILL THE SCREW DRIVERS STOPS,NOW LAY THE SCREW DRIVER AWAY FROM ANY METAL AROUND THE ENGINE ABOUT 1/4 INCH AND HAVE SOMEONE CRANK THE ENG OVER WHILE YOU LOOK FOR SPARK..YOU SHOULD SEE IT..IF NOT, WE HAVE A IGNITION PROBLEM..REMOVE THE CAP AND ROTOR AND LOOK UNDER THE ROTOR TO MAKE SURE IT IS NOT BURNED OUT AND GROUNDING AT THE DIST STEM..THIS IS COMMON..THIS SHOULD KEEP YOU BUSY FOR A WHILE,GET BACK TO ME WITH MORE INFO WHEN YOU ARE READY, PLEASE WHEN YOU ARE ALL DONE WITH ME, PLEASE RATE MY ANSWER..THANK YOU,,,TOM..
