Question
i am having issues with my truck. It will run fine when cold but stalls when warm.when it stalls i let it sit for 10 minutes and fires right back up. But it does the same thing and stalls out. I have already replaced distributor module,Plugs, wires, distributor cap, temp control and another sensor that was reading -33. Not sure what sensor its called. Any ideas or help? Thank You.

Answer
Hi Scotty,
One thing you didn't mention is what year your truck is.
Be that as it may, I'll try to give you some assistance.
It sounds as if the problem occurs when the truck enters what is called 'closed loop'; this is when the computer takes over control of fuel mixture and spark advance. The oxygen sensors are monitored by the computer #ECM/PCM# and adjusts fuel mixture accordingly.
It is possible that you have a problem with one or more oxygen sensors, the wiring to them, or even a computer that needs to be replaced.
To accurately diagnose your problem however, the truck should really be put on a scan tool to verify #or rule out# sensor issues. This will help avoid replacing parts that aren't faulty, which can become costly.
Best bet - have your local repair facility perform a scan. If they can verify the faulty component, you can replace it on your own, thereby saving yourself money.
