Chevrolet Repair: oil pump drive, flat head screwdriver, chevy beretta

Question
I just installed a new oil pump on my 1996 chevy beretta z26 due to having no oil pressure.I still have no pressure and i read that i should check the oil pump drive.I got to the old distributor hole and removed the cover to access the drive, but i am unable to pull it out,do i need a special tool to do this or is there an easy way,any help would be appreciated.

Answer
All you need to do it tap the drive once unbolted with a hammer..tap it.  Then take a pair of channel locks and pull up gently while rotating at the same time counterclockwise.  It may be a little tight, if you can get it up just a little you may have to use a flat head screwdriver or small pry bar to "POP" it up
If the oil pump drive doesn't solve this issue you may have spun a camshaft bearing..seen that a couple of times
